Building Details

Want to live the urban lifestyle, but not quite "live" downtown? 500 Lafayette is within walking distance of the unique and eclectic Ludlow Avenue business district. Enjoy local boutiques and coffee shops, restaurants, a wine shop, yoga studios, flower shop, live music, the Clifton Library, the new Clifton Market, The Esquire Theatre, Graeter's Ice Cream, and more.   The Clifton Cultural Arts Center, University of Cincinnati, and world-class medical facilities are nearby. We're also just a 12-minute drive to Music Hall, Findlay Market, and all downtown Cincinnati has to offer.  Lafayette Avenue was once known as the "Avenue of the Barons," named after a group of 19th century titans credited for the early development of Clifton and much of Cincinnati. Schools, hospitals, parks, you name it; they created much of the fabric of our region. Famous guests to the neighborhood included Edward, Prince of Wales (who later became King of England), and Charles Dickens. Today, majestic estates, trees, and gardens continue to line Lafayette, making this one of the most esteemed addresses in Cincinnati.   Gustave Drach, renowned local architect, designed 500 Lafayette and it was built in 1916. That same year, Ernest H. (E.H.) Huenefeld, local philanthropist and entrepreneur, gifted the building to Deaconess Bethesda Hospital to house retired preachers and missionaries. Now 100 years strong, 500 Lafayette at Mount Storm Park luxury apartments are beyond compare in the Clifton Gaslight District.
